I have used the Full Face Mask with the N95 Air Filter adapter multiple times, and people can hear me, and I can interact with people (of course always taking the proper social distancing precautions), and I convinced that I am getting the best N95 protection that integrates a mask and a face shield!
The humidity has been under 50%, the temperature have been in the mid 70s F ( 20s C ). In average, I have wore the mask about an hour, while I do my errands.
Is my practice to put on the mask before I leave home, and I do not remove it until I get back home, and I have gone through my disinfecting procedures.
Thanks to the almost 180 degrees of vision field with this mask, I feel comfortable driving. Just need to be careful with my extra "horn" (Air Adapter) on my mask when I enter and exit the car. ^_^
Although I have been advised against it. So this is not recommended, driving with the full mask is my decision.
My concern is, if I am already infected, the people around might not get the same level of protection. Although I suspect is much better than me not wearing anything at all.
What I am going to say is presumptions, because I could not find more information about any protection it can provide when I exhale.
(1) A good deal of the exhale droplets stay in the lower chamber when I am exhale. If I am infected, and the droplets are the main medium of transmission, a good deal of what could be floating around me, if I would not have the mask, stays in the exhale chamber of the mask.
(2) Even when there is not a N95 filter on the exhale vents, in addition to (1), the same valves that keep the water out, mitigates the constant flowing of the droplets. That if I would be an infected person, I believe most of the moist that could transmit the virus would stay in the exhale chamber.
(3) Besides the possible benefits of (1) and (2), the mask exhale vents are facing downwards.
Otherwise, If I would be infected, and if I would not have a mask, just by talking, I would be sending droplets with the infection forward, and it would be even worse, if I would sneeze or cough!
So, because I have no information on how protected would be the people around me when I exhale, if I would be infected. And because there is no replaceable N95 associated to exhaling, that is why in general I would give 4.5 stars to this mask with the adapter.
